An award for recognition of excellence for the
Shire of Forth Castle

These awards are intended to be presented to those who have shown merit within
the Shire of Forth Castle deserving of recognition by the Shire but not yet
sufficient for recognition by the Crown. They are to be granted at the discretion
of the Officers of the Shire based upon their judgment and the recommendations
of the populace.
The Award of the Argent Tower is divided into six equal branches: Chivalry,
Arts and Sciences, Martial Arts, Service, Youth and Children/Newcomer and Best
Period Appearance . The ideals of these branches are:
| CHIVALRY | Argent (White) | To be granted to those gentles of the Shire who exemplify and foster the ideals of the Code of Chivalry and the Society of Creative Anachronism. |
| ARTS AND SCIENCES | Vert (Green) | To be presented for excellence in the performance, research, or teaching of the arts and sciences within the Shire of Forth Castle. |
| MARTIAL ARTS | Gules (Red) | To be presented for excellence in either the performance, research, or teaching of the martial arts within the Shire of Forth Castle. These arts include, but are not limited to, live weapons, archery, heavy weapons, and fencing. |
| SERVICE | Or (Yellow) | To be presented for service to the Shire of Forth Castle. The service covered by this award is to include service to the Shire through assistance to the Officers, the functioning of the Shire, assistance with projects which benefit the Shire as a whole, research into period sources, and teaching (except as covered by the other branches of this award). |
| YOUTH AND CHILDREN/NEWCOMER | Azure (Blue) | To be granted to those gentles of the
Shire who nourish and foster the ideals of the Society within the youth
of the Shire of Forth Castle or have been an outstanding new member. The regalia for this Award consists of the badge of the award (being a tower of white stone or metal) suspended from a ribbon. The color of the ribbon designates the area of recognition for which the award is granted. The colors of the ribbon are as follows: |
| BEST PERIOD APPEARANCE | Purpure (Purple) | To be granted to those gentles of the Shire who exemplify their commitment to creating the best period appearance in costume and pageantry. |
| CHIVALRY | ARTS AND SCIENCES | MARTIAL ARTS | SERVICE | YOUTH / NEWCOMER | BEST PERIOD APPEARANCE |
